The Wedding

Ceremony & Reception

The ceremony will take place at St. Mary's Church, Ebberston, followed by a reception with food, drinks and dancing in a marquee at Ebberston Hall.

Order of the Day

12.30pm Pre-Wedding Networking Guests are welcome to imbibe in a tipple or two at The Grapes Inn (village pub), a 10 minute walk to the church
1.30pm Wedding Ceremony Please be seated by 1.15pm, the ceremony will start at 1.30pm
2.30pm onward Reception & Wedding Breakfast Head on over to the marquee after the ceremony for some fizz and canapés, followed by the wedding breakfast and dancing
Midnight Carriages The party wraps up at midnight. The best way home is by car or taxi, unless you're staying in Ebberston village. Pre-booking is essential for taxis

Dress Code

Morning suits and national dress are encouraged, though not mandatory. We recommend sensible shoes as the reception is on grass. September in North Yorkshire can be brisk in the evening; so a layer won't go amiss.

Getting Here

By Car

Ebberston sits on the A170 between Pickering and Scarborough. Postcode for St. Mary's Church: YO13 9PA.

Overnight parking will be available at The Grapes Inn (What3Words: turkey.zaps.composes) and sign-posted on Hagg Side Lane (What3Words: eyebrows.reprints.snipped).

By Train

Malton is the nearest station, with services from York (30 mins) and connections from London King's Cross. Taxis from Malton to Ebberston take approximately 20 minutes.

Please book your return taxi in advance. Demand at midnight in rural North Yorkshire can be fierce.

Make a Weekend of It

The North York Moors are spectacular in September. We'd encourage arriving Friday — the moors, the coast at Scarborough or Robin Hood's Bay, and the market town of Malton (Yorkshire's food capital) are all within easy reach.
